Yes me. This is something that I’ve wanted to do for YEARS and to be honest, I haven’t because I was afraid. I was afraid of what others would think if I started a financial website. Because I am not a typical financial website creator. I was a single mom when my son was young but am fortunate to have a wonderful partner in life now. I lost my house in the financial housing crisis of 2007 before I bought a fixer-upper home years later that I currently reside in. I went through nursing school at a community college, then finished my Bachelors in Nursing, and went on to get accepted into medical school. I don’t have a finance background. I don’t have all of the answers to what stocks are the best and if mutual funds are better than index funds. I am not an engineer, although my son is going to school to become one so I guess I could say I have an engineer consultant at hand if necessary.
My goal in creating this website is to show that financial stability and independence are available to anyone who wants it and is able to put in the time and effort. The last part of that sentence is key. You have to be motivated and functional enough to change your habits and learn new thought processes. The journey is enlightening, hard, easy, frustrating, and motivating. You will learn more about yourself and the world. You will understand the psychology of money, and how different philosophies have different outcomes. Make no mistake. The journey to financial independence is a rocky, winding uphill road but the views at the top are amazing! You can do this and I’m gonna show you how.
